New! I Can See You released on Blu-Ray

The Blu-ray of I Can See You is available for pre-order!

One of the films I am most proud to have served as cinematographer on is getting a new release! Check out the rave critical reviews from top critics on Rotten Tomatoes.

Includes the 3D film The Viewer, which was shot on a custom built system.

Deadwax

Available to stream on ShudderTV.

“Deadwax is a truly tremendous and innovative outing with the kind of nuance and subtly that makes record collectors swoon. The scares are real, imagined, and otherworldly.”

Beneath

One of the greatest joys in life is collaborating with humorous people on a difficult project. Larry Fessenden was a tremendous joy as we lived on a barge in the middle of lake for a month.

Deep Fried Movies interview with Gordon about filming on water.

“…[Beneath] is breathtakingly beautiful … with compositions and color tones that resemble a high-class fashion-magazine layout circa 1965. Fessenden and cinematographer Gordon Arkenberg make good use of their limited setting, moving the camera smoothly around the lake and the boat…”

WATCH

A collaboration between photographer Dwight Primiano and myself.

Filmed entirely on S-16mm black and white film, Watch is a contemplative film.

Premiered at Soho Photo Gallery on the 6th of February, 2009.

The Viewer

Best 3D Short at the 2010 LA 3D Film Festival.

Filmed using a custom rig and relying on a lot of math. This short began my love of 3D filmmaking, which is featured as the final project in an upcoming book I am writing.

The Meaning of Tea

A lyrical documentary filmed across the world and on S-16mm and HD.

As the Call, So the Echo

I served as co-cinematographer with my friend and colleague Matthew Santo.
